What Kids Zine Maker collects
Nothing. Kids Zine Maker has no accounts and no sign-in, and it never asks for a name, an email address, an age or a school. The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no crash-reporting software, and it makes no connections to servers run by us or by anyone else.
Photos
When you add a photo to a page, iOS shows its own photo picker. Kids Zine Maker only ever receives the photos you choose. It resizes each one and keeps a copy inside the app's private storage on the device so the zine can show it. Photos are never uploaded, shared or looked at by us. Deleting the app deletes every copy.
Printing and PDFs
Printing uses AirPrint. The print sheet goes directly from the device to a printer you pick on your local network, and nowhere else. "Save PDF" writes a file to the place you choose in the Files app. Both only happen when you tap the button.
Where your zines live
Every zine is saved on the device it was made on, in the app's own storage. Kids Zine Maker does not sync zines between devices or to any cloud service. If the device is backed up with iCloud Backup or to a computer, the zines are included in that backup like any other app's data, under Apple's terms.
Children
Kids Zine Maker is made for kids aged 8 to 12, and it is designed so that no personal information is collected from anyone, of any age. We do not knowingly collect, store or share information about children, and there is nothing in the app to opt into or out of. Parents and teachers with questions can write to us at the address below.
Third parties
Kids Zine Maker includes no third-party software development kits, and no data is shared with any third party. The only outside systems it talks to are Apple's photo picker, AirPrint and the Files app, which run on your device.
Changes to this policy
If Kids Zine Maker ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We will not make quiet changes.
